The University Student Senate (USS) awarded The Kiosk for its coalition-building. The gala ceremony was held at City College. Kiosk editors Milan Fredricks, Yerelyn Nunez, and Lisa Sheridan received individual certificates for service at the event held on November 8th, 2018.
CUNY trustee Oona Clark, New York City Councilwomen Inez Barron, and CUNY Vice Chancellor for University Advancement Bridgette Bryant attended: both as honorees, and as announcers.
The award ceremony is held annually and is sponsored by the USS. Each year the USS nominates leaders in the student body, from the faculty and administration, as well as the institutions that foster leadership and service.
The Kiosk received an engraved glass trophy as the award which will be displayed on the school’s campus.
