$200 TEXTBOOK GRANT
CUNY SPS students may find that they need help with purchasing textbooks and course materials. The Kiosk spoke with CUNY’s SPS Enrollment Bursar Director of Office Scholarship, Leah Chajeczkis to get the deets on the textbook grant. The grant awarded by the CUNY SPS Foundation provides funding for up to $200 that can assist eligible students with purchasing textbook and course materials.
Students can apply for this grant online; the deadline is September 2, 2019.

CUNY SPS Textbook Grant FAQs
The CUNY SPS Textbook Grant is offered by the CUNY SPS Foundation to support students with textbook cost(s) and/or course material(s) assigned by their instructors.
Q: Who is eligible to apply for the CUNY SPS Textbook Grant?
A: Undergraduate students with a minimum GPA of 2.0 and graduate students with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Q: I am enrolled in less than 6 credits for fall 2019. Am I eligible?
A: No, students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits.
Q: I already receive a Federal Pell Book Advance. Am I eligible to receive the CUNY SPS Textbook Grant?
A: No, students who receive the Federal Pell Book Advance are not able eligible to apply.
Q: What is the award amount?
A: Awards are up to $200.00, dependent on the information provided by your instructors to the CUNY SPS Online Bookstore and Marketplace.
Q: I am enrolled in Zero Cost Textbook courses, am I eligible to receive this grant?
A: Generally no, but you may be eligible to apply if the instructor has provided the name of recommended books.
Q: When is the last day to submit an application for a CUNY SPS Textbook grant for fall 2019? A: The last day to apply is Monday, September 2nd, 2019.
Q: How long will it take to find out if I am been approved?
A: Students will be notified within one week of submitting their application.

Q: If selected, how will I receive my award?
A: Students can either elect to either pick-up their grant on campus or for the grant to be mailed.
