    • Volunteer Match is a website that non-profit organizations use to list internship and volunteer opportunities. Many of the opportunities available are able to be done virtually. The volunteer opportunities include but are not limited to work in fields such as computer programming, journalism, social media management, grant writing, and administrative tasks. Organizations that have posted listings on there include StreetWise, Girl Scouts, Girls Who Code, American Red Cross and the Arthritis Foundation.

    • For those whom are interested in exploring computer programming, Flatiron School offers a free JavaScript course. In addition to the course being free of charge, what makes this course unique is that it is fully online and that on-demand support is available for students.

    • Dr. Isabelle Elisha is the new Associate Director of the Psychology program at CUNY SPS. She is a developmental psychologist whose current projects examine Black youth’s civic engagement and community involvement. This presentation will take place on September 30th from 6:00pm-7:30pm. She will discuss her career path, research, work experiences and how they relate to the field of developmental psychology.
