    • Discover how to write a results-oriented resume and cover letter that reflect your relevant experience, abilities, and accomplishments. Transform your resume into a powerful tool that will get you more interviews. Receive valuable resume advice directly from a recruiter. Learn how to present yourself on paper when filling out online applications, sending thank you notes, and more. 
    • The evening session of this webinar will be presented by Kelsey Richardson, career advisor, and the lunchtime session will be presented by Shannon Gallo, career services manager.

  • Act Your Age: Age Beliefs in Media and Entertainment
    • 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Register here
    • In this session, participants will engage with theatrical conventions to critically reflect on how age is represented in media and entertainment. Through guided activities, participants will grapple with age biases, build community, and imagine inclusive, age-positive stories that challenge stereotypes.
  • ePortfolio 101: The Basics

    • In this session, you will explore the structure of ePortfolio and learn how to use the platform. You will learn how to navigate the Digication dashboard, create a new ePortfolio or share your existing ePortfolio, and identify signature assignment(s) connected to your course(s). The session will provide an overview of page navigation, instructions and prompts, and introductory customization tips to begin building your ePortfolio.
  • Networking & Public Speaking for Career Success

    • This session is part of a 4-part series of programs offered through funding from the CUNY Career Success Fellowship in collaboration with the Office of Career Services. Participants can expect to share knowledge and come away with synthesized and integrated understandings of workplace challenges and practical ways to grow themselves and their careers. Building strong networking skills (virtual and in person) is essential for career growth. This workshop will cover strategies to help you make meaningful professional connections, engage in effective conversations, and confidently navigate networking events.
    • Additionally, we will focus on public speaking skills for the workplace, helping you communicate your ideas clearly, present yourself professionally, and gain confidence in speaking during meetings, interviews, and presentations. Whether you’re looking to expand your network or improve your speaking skills, this session will provide practical techniques to help you succeed in professional settings.

    • Umut Dursan – U.S. Marine Corps veteran and Director of Harbor Camps, which provides affirming summer camp experiences for transgender youth and children with skeletal dysplasia.
    • Dirk Corria – Vice President of PFLAG Cape Cod and Board Member of the Cape & Islands Transgender Resource Fund, dedicated to advocacy and leadership in the transgender community.

  • The Kiosk’s Podcast Workshop!

    • Hosted by CUNY SPS’ own Professor James Richardson of the Communication and Media Program, The Kiosk’s first ever Podcast Workshop will delve into all the steps to start your own podcast, including how to structure an episode, how to edit audio, and how to find the right equipment to get recording. While the workshop will mainly be geared towards aspiring journalists, any student looking to learn more about podcasting is welcome!

    • 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Register here
    • Come to a virtual information session to learn more about the CDA certificate program at the CUNY School of Professional Studies, offered in partnership with the Institute’s Career Development Center. The program prepares anyone interested in working with infants, toddlers and preschool-aged children (birth through age 5) to seek their CDA credential. In this 12-credit program, students learn the skills they need to create an effective learning environment for children. Students take four required courses and receive guidance with writing, creating a portfolio, classroom observations, career services and more.

    • We invite you to attend this online Jump Start information session during which time our Associate Director of Admissions Access Programs & SEEK will answer any questions that you might have about our Jump Start application process. Jump Start is a performance-based application process for degree-seekers, regardless of their GPA. Instead of focusing on traditional academic requirements, this new admissions approach allows you to create a portfolio that demonstrates the college-level skills and knowledge you’ve developed inside or outside of a college classroom in areas such as leadership, research, technical skills, professional writing, and languages. You can gain admission to CUNY SPS and finish your degree faster with Jump Start.

A majority of our fully accredited graduate programs are offered online, giving students the flexibility and convenience of attending class on a schedule that fits into their busy lives.

Offered online, our programs meet the needs of transfer students looking for a seamless way to finish or transition to a bachelor’s degree program. We’d like to invite you to attend this online SEEK information session, during which time a member of our SPS SEEK team will answer any questions that you might have about the SEEK program and applying to CUNY SPS.

    • On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, the CUNY School of Professional Studies hosts the 2025 Student Leadership & Service Ceremony. The Leadership & Service Ceremony honors CUNY SPS students who have exemplified a spirit of leadership and dedication to service within the School community over the 2024-25 academic year. The ceremony will be held at Baruch College’s Vertical Campus, Room 14-220, with a livestream available for those who wish to attend virtually. Attendance by invitation only.

  • CUNY SPS Transformative Learning & Development Conference

    • The CUNY SPS Strategic Plan Improving the Teaching and Learning Experience Committee invites you to submit a proposal for the inaugural CUNY SPS Transformative Learning and Development Conference (TLDC). We invite all faculty and staff to share their professional development activities and research projects completed in AY 2024/2025. Faculty-student research collaboration proposals are also welcomed. The goal of the TLDC is to foster a collaborative community and supportive space to share activities, ideas, and best practices for creating transformative teaching and learning experiences at CUNY SPS.  
    • Session Formats: There will be a main panel for one (1) hour, including Q&A, followed by a series of breakout rooms for two (2) hours, with each breakout room lasting for 30 minutes. We encourage panelists to share targeted outcomes to enhance participants’ learning experiences. Proposals from individuals are welcome, as are panel proposals related to the following overarching topics:

      • Research and Scholarship Related to Teaching and Learning
